11/30/06

Well, several of my other blogging friends (okay, so I only have three) did really cute posts on Thanksgiving. I can't believe it's only been a week since Thanksgiving. This week has lasted forever with all the painting and unpacking.
Anyway, my Thanksgiving was nice. My husband, Jackson, and I went up to Northern Virginia for a few days. I'm SO crazy about my family. You can't understand how much fun we all have when we get together. Here's a picture of all of us last Thanksgiving (05):
Top row: baby sister, Becky (16), my dad, my mom, my sister, Liz (18
Bottom row: brother-in-law, Danny, sister, Anne (23), me (25), and my husband Alan.

We spent the day at my parent's house and my sister's inlaws and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law came. They had come last year, too. This year was kind of hard because Parke, my sister's father-in-law passed away this last spring from a brain tumor. While, there were still lots of smiles and plenty of laughter and delicious food, there was also a void we all felt. His widow was SO thin, too. I worry she's not eating. This is a picture of all of us with them last year when Parke was still with us. It was a much happier Thanksgiving.

Let's see, what else? Oh, my sister Liz brought home her boyfriend Matt, from college for everyone to meet. My husband and I sort of introduced them but it was fun for everyone else to meet him. He was a big hit with my mom and my dad watched football and would occasionally nod at him. Here they are:

We also had Dad take a bunch of pics of us for a Christmas card since his camera is awesome and mine sucks (I'm getting a really nice one in the next week or so!). This is my husband's favorite one:

We still haven't decided which one to use, though. I look awesome in all of them so it's hard. No, jk. But I did purposefully wear too much make-up which always helps in pics! :)
And finally, my favorite picture of the day is of my son and my husband doing their male bonding. I love how Jackson is actually looking at the pages:
